Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the planning and zoning administrator and/or building official, or other person designated by the board of county commissioners, and obtain the required permit. The permit shall be issued if the plans, specifications and completed project conform with the requirements of the zoning title 1 and codes adopted in this chapter. A permit to construct sewer systems is also required by the state board of health and is necessary in order to obtain a building permit from the county. (Ord. 69, 11-5-2012)
The Washington County road supervisor must approve the culvert installation and the construction of the driveway approach onto a county road, prior to, and as a condition of, obtaining a building permit for a residential dwelling from the county. (Ord. 72, 3-24-2014)
