10-2-2: DEFINITIONS:
ANNUAL APPLICATION RATE: The maximum amount of domestic septage that can be applied to a unit area of land during a three hundred sixty five (365) day period.
DOMESTIC SEPTAGE: Either liquid or semi-solid material removed from a septic tank, cesspool, portable toilet, Type III marine sanitation device, or similar treatment works that receives only domestic sewage. Domestic septage does not include liquid or solid material removed from a septic tank, cesspool, portable toilet, Type III marine sanitation device, or similar treatment works that receives either commercial wastewater or industrial wastewater and does not include grease removed from a grease trap.
DOMESTIC SEWAGE: Waste and wastewater from humans or household operations that is discharged to or otherwise enters a treatment works.
PUMPABLE WASTES: Nonseptage pumpable wastes which include materials from grease traps, car wash sumps, service station sumps, industrial waste, commercial cleaning waste, and municipal sludge.
SEPTAGE: Either liquid or semi-solid material removed from a septic tank, cesspool, portable toilet, Type III marine sanitation device, or similar treatment works that receives domestic, commercial or industrial sewage and does not include grease removed from a grease trap.
