§ 51.050  CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS.
   The connection of the building sewer into the public sewer shall conform to the requirements of the Building and Plumbing Code or other applicable rules and regulations of the village, or the procedures set forth in appropriate specifications of the ASTM, International (formerly known as the American Society of Testing Materials), latest edition of the Water Environmental Foundation’s Publication Activate Sludge (Manual Practice No. 9), and the latest edition of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineer’s publication Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois. All such connections shall be made gas-tight and water-tight. Any deviation from the prescribed procedures and materials must be approved by the Department of Water and Sewer before installation.
