Any member of the Police Department is hereby authorized to remove or have removed any vehicle left at any place within the city which reasonably appears to be in violation of this section or lot, stolen or unclaimed. The vehicle shall be impounded until lawfully claimed after payment of reasonably storage fees or disposed of by city under law. Any vehicle abandoned on the street or highway shall be removed and disposed of in conformity with KRS Chapter 189.
