§ 71.05 OVERWEIGHT VEHICLES.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to operate upon the city streets or roads, and upon any state highway within the city over which the Secretary of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has not assumed responsibility pursuant to KRS 189.233, any vehicle, object, or contrivance, which is used primarily for the commercial purpose of hauling goods or animals, and has three or more weight-supporting axles.
   (B)   Division (A) above shall not apply to vehicles, objects, or contrivances entering the city for the purpose of making or accepting a delivery within the city or of accepting or depositing a load of cargo or part thereof in the city; nor shall it apply to fire fighting apparatus or medical service vehicle belonging to any city, county, special district volunteer fire department, or medical service entity.
   (C)   The Mayor is authorized but not required, to post signs notifying the public of this section at places he deems appropriate within the city.
