Vehicles not over twenty feet in length may be parked at an angle with the curb and with their front ends to the curb at such places as shall be designated for such parking under the direction of the Mayor by lines painted or otherwise marked on the pavement, dividing off spaces in which vehicles are to be parked. No person shall stand or park any vehicle in such manner as to occupy any portion of more than one such space at a time, except in compliance with the direction of a police officer.
