(a) Whoever violates any of the provisions of this Housing Code, or any rule or regulation promulgated thereunder, or fails to comply therewith or with any written notice or written order issued thereunder, for which no other penalty is provided is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
(b) The imposition of any penalty shall not preclude:
(1) The Building Commissioner or his or her designee from issuing a warning notice to correct said violations within a reasonable amount of time and if said violations are not corrected then implement a fine of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for the first offense, five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the second offense, and seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each subsequent offense thereafter.
(2) The Director of Law or his or her designee from instituting an appropriate action or proceeding in a court of competent jurisdiction to restrain, correct or abate a violation or to require compliance with the provisions of this Housing Code.
(c) Each day such violation occurs or continues shall constitute a separate offense.
