The duties of the Chief of Staff shall be such as the Mayor may, from time to time, direct and shall include, but not be limited to the following:
(a) The Chief of Staff shall review all county, state and federal programs for which the City may be eligible to receive funds.
(b) The Chief of Staff shall oversee the preparation of all applications for funds or grants for which the City may be eligible.
(c) The Chief of Staff shall monitor the City’s compliance with all state and federal regulatory programs, including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (“COBRA”) and federal occupational and safety requirements.
(d) The Chief of Staff shall receive applications for and oversee compliance of applicants with the requirements for tax abatement under the City’s Community Reinvestment Program.
(e) The Chief of Staff shall prepare protocols for each municipal department.
(f) The Chief of Staff shall monitor the City’s compliance with the requirements of the Ohio Historical Society in regard to the disposition of City records.
(g) The Chief of Staff shall formulate recommendations and proposals to maximize the efficiency of each municipal department.
(h) The Chief of Staff shall issue periodic reports in regard to the condition and maintenance of municipal facilities.
(i) The Chief of Staff shall update rules and regulations of each municipal department.
(j) The Chief of Staff shall design and implement the use of uniform City applications and forms.
(k) The Chief of Staff shall facilitate and supervise interdepartmental activities as required to implement the duties of this chapter.
(l) The Chief of Staff shall perform such other duties as the Mayor may assign and prescribe for the office.
(m) The Chief of Staff shall do any and all things necessary and proper to carry out the duties prescribed pursuant to this chapter.
