1355.02 GENERAL PROVISIONS.
   Temporary outdoor storage and/or dumpster units, as defined in this chapter, may be permitted subject to the following standards and restrictions:
   (a)   Not more than two (2) temporary outdoor storage or dumpster units shall be permitted per address in a calendar year.
   (b)   The maximum size of a temporary outdoor storage or dumpster unit shall not exceed a dimension of ten foot by ten foot by twenty-two foot (10'x10'x22').
   (c)   Only one (1) temporary outdoor storage or dumpster unit shall be stored on a property at any given time, for a period up to thirty (30) days. Extensions may be granted, but no unit shall receive more than two (2) thirty (30) day extensions (not to exceed a total of ninety (90 days).
   (d)   Temporary outdoor storage and dumpster units are accessory uses and are only permitted on properties containing a lawful principal use.
   (e)   Temporary outdoor storage and dumpster units are prohibited from being placed within the right-of-way, on the front lawn of a property, or on any easements. Units shall be placed in the driveway, or on a paved surface, at the furthest accessible point from the street, or as otherwise approved by the Building Commissioner.
   (f)   No temporary outdoor storage units shall be used as a place of habitation for humans or animals or to store materials related to an off-premises business or a home occupation.
   (g)   Dumpster units shall be removed within five (5) calendar days of being filled.
   (h)   The Building Commissioner is granted authority to require immediate removal of any construction dumpster if it is determined the construction dumpster is no longer needed at the site, the construction dumpster is filled to capacity or there is a violation of any of these provisions.
   (i)   Any temporary outdoor storage or dumpster unit found to be in violation of these requirements shall be subject to the penalties set forth in this Building Code.
