After six (6) months of continuous service with the City of Warrensville Heights, an employee may utilize up to three (3) consecutive workdays, with pay, for the purpose of attending the funeral of the employee’s mother, father, father-in-law or mother-in-law, child, spouse, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, grandchildren, stepparent or stepchild. The employee shall furnish proof, satisfactory to the employee’s department head and the Mayor, of death and relationship of the deceased upon written application for the foregoing leave authorization. In a City located more than one hundred fifty (150) miles from Warrensville Heights, the employee may utilize an additional two (2) consecutive scheduled days’ leave for travel for the above family member deaths.
