(a) Medical insurance and other benefits shall be available to City employees under the terms and conditions determined by the Mayor with the approval of City Council.
(b) City Council members shall have the option of participating in the health insurance program provided by the City of Warrensville Heights if there is no other Health Insurance Program available to the City Council official (i) through his or her employer or (ii) his or her spouse. The participating Council member shall bear twenty percent (20%) of the total cost of the premium associated with participation in the Plan.
(c) Members of Council who request coverage under the City’s medical insurance plan shall be granted such coverage to be comprised of the following:
(1) Basic medical and major medical coverage for the Councilperson and eligible dependents;
(2) Dental coverage for the Councilperson and eligible dependents; and
(3) Vision care plans for the Councilperson and eligible dependents.
