(a) The position of Assistant Electrical Inspector for the City is hereby created.
(b) The appointment to such position shall be made by the Mayor, subject to the approval of Council.
(c) The salary for such position shall be the sum of one dollar ($1.00) per year during the training period, and the training period shall be a minimum of one year. Upon the termination of the training period, the appointment to such position may be made permanent by the Mayor, subject to the approval of Council at a salary to be determined at the time of the permanent appointment.
(d) The Assistant Electrical Inspector shall be a journeyman electrician at the start of the training period and must be approved by the State Board of Examiners.
