145.03 PLUMBING AND HEATING INSPECTION.
   (a)    The positions of Plumbing Inspector and Heating Inspector are hereby combined so as to create the position of Plumbing and Heating Inspector.
   (b)    The appointment to such position shall be made by the Mayor subject to the approval of Council. Such appointment shall be for such period of time and under such conditions as may be determined at the time of the appointment, and shall be subject to termination by the Mayor.
   (c)    The duties of the Plumbing and Heating Inspector re heating installations shall be as follows:
      (1)    Administer and enforce all laws and ordinances relating to the installation, maintenance, alteration and repair of heating installations;
      (2)    Act on all applications and permits for the installation, maintenance, alteration and repair of heating equipment, and to pay the fees collected by him through such permits, or otherwise in the performance of his duties, into the Municipal Treasury each month;
      (3)    Inspect and test all heating installations and equipment as required by the laws of Ohio and the ordinances of this Municipality;
      (4)    Keep complete records of all permits issued, fees collected and inspections made, as well as other official work performed, and to submit to Council his report on such activities once each year.
   (d)    The duties of the Plumbing and Heating Inspector re plumbing shall be as follows:
      (1)    Administer and enforce all laws of Ohio and ordinances of the Municipality relating to the installation, maintenance, alteration and repair of all piping, traps and fixtures of a building drainage or plumbing system, and the installation, maintenance, alteration and repair of all piping, meters and fixtures of a building gas system;
      (2)    Act on all applications for permits for the installation, maintenance, alteration and repair of all piping, traps and fixtures of building drainage, plumbing and gas systems, and to pay the fees collected by him through the activities of his office into the Municipal Treasury each month;
      (3)    Inspect and test all the piping, traps, meters and fixtures of plumbing, drainage and gas systems of buildings, as required by the laws of Ohio and the ordinance of this Municipality;
      (4)    Keep complete records of all permits issued, fees collected and inspections made, as well as other official work performed, and to submit to Council a report on such activities once each year.
