Any person hereafter appointed to the Department as a part-time fireman shall be first appointed to a three-month probationary period.
After satisfactorily serving such probationary period and passing an examination on fire duties and conduct, such person may be appointed for a period of six months as a temporary member of the Department as a part-time fireman.
After satisfactorily serving for such six-month period, such person then may be appointed as a permanent member of the Department as a part-time fireman.
All part-time firemen shall be in the unclassified designation of the Civil Service.
