143.02 JURISDICTION AND DUTIES.

(a) The Fire Department shall have jurisdiction over all matters pertaining to fire prevention, equipment, quarters, fire fighting, the installation, supervision and maintenance of a fire alarm signal and communication system, and the enforcement of fire laws and ordinances.

(b) Every full-time salaried officer and member of the Department shall devote his entire time to its service.
