1513.06 PORTABLE OUTDOOR FIREPLACES.
      (a)    Portable outdoor fireplaces are permissible, provided they meet the requirements herein contained.
  
   (b)    Portable outdoor fireplaces must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and safety guidelines.
 
   (c)    Location. Portable outdoor fireplaces must be used upon the rear ground floor level of the premises, 15 feet or farther away from any dwelling, garage or other structure or part thereof, and placed upon a non-combustible surface, except that a portable outdoor fireplace that burns natural gas may be located on other levels of the premises of a one or two family dwelling and may not be less than 5 feet away from any structure on the premises.
   
   (d)    Material. Only natural seasoned firewood or commercial logs may be burned, except natural gas may be burned in a portable outdoor fireplace where the manufacturer's specifications and safety guidelines require the use of such fuel and the use and storage of the natural gas must be consistent with all applicable fire code regulations. Material or substance burned shall not contain any rubbish, garbage, trash, leaves, brush, yard waste, flammable or combustible liquids, or any material made of or coated with rubber, plastic, leather or petroleum based materials.
   
   (e)    Size. The portion of the portable outdoor fireplace that is used to burn fuel shall be 48 inches or less in diameter , except that such portion of a portable outdoor fireplace that burns natural gas must not be more than 54 inches in diameter.
  
   (f)    Attendance at Portable Outdoor Fireplace. Portable outdoor fireplaces shall be constantly attended by an adult that is the property owner, resident or tenant of the building premises until the fire is extinguished. At least one portable fire extinguisher with a minimum 4-A rating, two portable fire extinguishers with a minimum 2-A rating each, or other approved on-site fire extinguishing equipment, such as dirt, sand, water barrel, garden hose, or water truck, shall be available for immediate utilization. No person shall fail to take whatever measures are necessary to prevent the spread to the surrounding area of hot sparks or burning embers or coals from the portable outdoor fireplace.
