(a) There is hereby created the position of police officer for the Municipality, in such numbers as the Director of Public Safety may appoint with the consent and confirmation of Council.
(b) Such police officers when appointed shall perform:
(1) The duties enjoined on them by the laws of Ohio and the ordinances of the Municipality;
(2) The duties usually performed by police officers; and
(3) Such duties as are designated and directed by the Director of Public Safety. (Ord. 1970-35. Passed 3-17-70.)
