The application for City assistance will not be approved until such time as it is determined that downspouts or footer drains or any other form of drainage are not tied into the sanitary sewer. In the event the City is not able to determine at the time of the installation of the overhead plumbing system whether or not the footer drains are tied into the sanitary sewer, the permit may be issued. In the event that it is subsequently determined that the footer drains are tied into the sanitary sewer, then the property owner must, within thirty days, remove the footer drain tie into the sanitary sewer at his own expense.
