(a) In addition to any other fees or deposits required by other sections of the Codified Ordinances, the Building Commissioner shall charge and collect a deposit of:
(1) One thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($1,250), minus any applicable fees already paid, for residential projects. Five hundred dollars ($500.00) is due at time of application for preliminary plan review, and the seven hundred fifty dollar ($750.00) balance is due at the time the permit is issued.
(2) Two thousand dollars ($2,000) minus any applicable fees already paid, for commercial projects. Five hundred dollars ($500.00) is due at time of application for preliminary plan review, and the fifteen hundred dollar ($1,500) balance is due at the time the permit is issued.
Deposits are required to reimburse the City for expenses incurred for additional or supplemental engineering, legal or other professional services rendered as a result of the application for a building permit, special use permit and or a rezoning application.
(b) In the event that the moneys herein deposited by an applicant are not sufficient as required in subsection (a) hereof, then the applicant shall be required to deposit additional moneys in series of five hundred dollars ($500.00) as requested by the City.
