4-3-15: THEFT:
   A.   Theft Prohibited: No person shall commit theft.
   B.   Theft Defined: A person commits theft when he knowingly:
      1.   Obtains or exerts unauthorized control over property of the owner; or
      2.   Obtains by deception control over property of the owner; or
      3.   Obtains by threat control over property of the owner; or
      4.   Obtains control of stolen property knowing the property to have been stolen by another or under such circumstances as would reasonably induce him to believe that the property was stolen; and
         a.   Intends to deprive the owner permanently of the use or benefit of the property; or
         b.   Knowingly uses, conceals or abandons the property in such a manner as to deprive the owner permanently of such use or benefit; or
         c.   Uses, conceals or abandons the property knowing such use, concealment or abandonment probably will deprive the owner permanently of such use or benefit. (Ord. 2192, 2-7-2005)
   C.   Penalty: Any person convicted of a violation of any provision of this section shall be punished by a fine as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code. A citation for theft of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) or less may be enforced through administrative adjudication. (Ord. O2017-75, 12-4-2017)
