4-3-4: DAMAGE AND TRESPASS TO PROPERTY:
   A.   Damage To Property:
      1.   Damage To Property Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person to:
         a.   Knowingly damage any property of another without his consent; or
         b.   Recklessly, by means of fire or explosive, damage property of another;
         c.   Knowingly start a fire on the land of another without his consent; or
         d.   Knowingly injure a domestic animal of another without his consent; or
         e.   Knowingly deposit on the land or in the building of another without his consent, any stink bomb or any offensive smelling compound and thereby intend to interfere with the use by another of the land or buildings; or
         f.   Damage any property, with intent to defraud an insurer; or
         g.   Knowingly damage the property of another without his consent by defacing, deforming or otherwise damaging such property by the use of paint or any other similar substance.
      2.   Damage Of Firefighting Apparatus, Hydrants Or Equipment Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person to wilfully and maliciously cut, injure, damage, tamper with or destroy or deface any fire hydrant or any fire hose or any fire engine or other public or private firefighting equipment, or any apparatus appertaining to such equipment, or intentionally open any fire hydrant without proper authorization.
   B.   Trespass To Property:
      1.   Trespassing Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person to commit a trespass within the corporate limits of the city.
      2.   Trespass Defined: Without constituting any limitation upon the provisions of this subsection, any of the following acts by any person shall be deemed included among those that constitute trespass:
         a.   Entry Into Vehicles Without Consent: Any person who knowingly and without authority enters any vehicle, aircraft or watercraft, or any part thereof, of another without the owner's consent shall be guilty of trespassing.
         b.   Entry Into Buildings Or On Land; Remaining On Land After Notice To Leave: Any person who knowingly enters upon the building or land or any part thereof of another after receiving notice from the owner, occupant or person in charge of such building or land, or a peace officer that the entry is forbidden, or who remains upon the land of another after receiving notice to depart, shall be guilty of trespassing.
   C.   Penalty: A person convicted of a violation of this section shall be fined as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code. (Ord. 536, 9-15-1980; amd. Ord. 1894, 1-15-2001)
