(A) The Town Marshal, the Assistant Marshal, or the Deputy Marshal shall hereafter charge, collect, and remit to the Town Clerk-Treasurer the following fees, which shall be processed by the Clerk-Treasurer as stated.
(1) For administration of accident report fee, see § 70.25.
(2) For administration of vehicle inspection fee, see § 70.15.
(3) Handgun licenses/transfers.
(a) A fee of $10 for each handgun license application shall be deposited in the Continuing Education Fund. If the application is not accepted, a refund of $5 shall be made without appropriation pursuant to IC 35-47-2-3.
(b) The Town Continuing Education Fund, which is hereby established, is to be expended at the Town Marshal's discretion for training officers in law enforcement duties, and shall be paid without appropriation.
(B) All fees, funds, and portions thereof received from the County Auditor as the town's portion of court fees to which the town is entitled by applicable law, whether from the County Law Enforcement Continuing Education Fund or not, shall be deposited in the town's Local Law Enforcement Fund, which is hereby established, for expenditure therefrom pursuant to applicable law.
