§ 52.07  PIPE STANDARDS; INSTALLATION OF METER.
   (A)   Pipe standards.  All service pipes must be copper pipe from the main to the meter and shall be installed at the expense of the customer from the main.  All service pipes from the main to the meter shall be inspected by the Superintendent or his authorized agent.
   (B)   Installation of meter.
      (1)   All meters shall be installed on the lawn on the town property where possible to do so.  The town will install at its own expense the meter box and set the meter, but it is expressly understood that the customer shall at his own expense make all the connections necessary for the installation of the meters including tapping of the main.

      (2)   In setting a meter, red or white lead must in no case be used in its connections or between it and the main.  The service must be blown out before the meter is set and it must be set in a box to prevent freezing.  Meters must be set in concrete or brick well on the town property when possible to do so.  ('83 Code, § 4-2 I.J.)
