§ 151.999  PENALTY.
   (A)   (1)    Violation of this chapter is a misdemeanor as provided by G.S. § 14-4 and may be punished as provided therein.
      (2)   Civil penalties may be imposed in accordance with the following procedure:
         (a)   Initial notification of violation shall be in writing by first class mail, return receipt required, to the person to be notified.
         (b)   If not corrected within ten days, a warning citation may be issued.
         (c)   If not corrected within seven days of issuance of a warning citation, a second citation including a fine may be issued. See Appendix A of this chapter for a listing of fines and fees.
         (d)   Each day the violation continues after the second citation with fine is issued shall constitute a separate violation of this chapter.
   (B)   Violation of §§ 151.130 through 151.133 shall be punishable by maximum fines as listed in Appendix A of this chapter. Civil penalties may be imposed in accordance with the procedure identified in §§ 151.134 and 151.135.
