Any contract to be entered into by the Director of Public Service and Safety per Sections 735.05 et seq. or 737.03 et seq. of the Ohio Revised Code involving more than the dollar limitation then specified within those sections shall first be authorized and directed by ordinance of City Council, regardless of whether or not that contract may be for equipment, services, materials or supplies that can be purchased by the Director of Public Service and Safety under Sections 125.04 or 5513.01 of the Ohio Revised Code.
