No person, firm, association or corporation shall buy, sell, offer for sale or use in any manner, any electrical equipment or device except electric light bulbs of any kind, used or intended for use as decorations or illumination for Christmas trees, unless such equipment or device bears the label or listing of any nationally known and accepted testing laboratory, approved by the Chief of the Fire Department; nor shall any other material be used for the decoration or the embellishment of any real or simulated Christmas tree or any other decorative device used during the Christmas season, if such material is proven not to be flame-resistant.
