1505.02 BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION; MEMBERSHIP; POWERS.
   (a)   There is hereby created in the Fire Department, a Bureau of Fire Prevention which consists of the Chief of the Fire Department and three members of the Fire Department who shall be from the rank of Captain. In addition to their duties as members of the Fire Prevention Bureau, such Captains shall be subject to other such duties as the Chief of the Fire Department may prescribe. In addition to the above named members, the Chief of the Fire Department may designate any other Fire Department personnel the authority to enforce the provisions of this Code, provided that such designated member is certified pursuant to the requirements of the State relating to fire prevention.
   (b)   In addition to the above, the powers and rights of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be the same as those conferred upon the Bureau of Fire Inspection and Bureau of Fire Prevention of the State, and upon the State Fire Marshal, his deputies or assistants by the State, relative to the City.

   (c)   They shall have the right to enforce these Codified Ordinances pertaining to fire prevention, Title 37 of the Ohio Revised Code as it relates to fire prevention and protection, the Ohio Fire Code, the National Fire Codes (also known as the National Fire Protection Association Codes or National Fire Code or NFPA) and the American Insurance Association (AIA) Fire Prevention Code, 1976 edition and the 1982 amendment thereto.
