No person, firm, corporation or company shall perform any work in connection with the location, erection, construction, repair, alteration, moving or equipping of a building without first filing with the Building Division of the City an application in writing, and obtaining a formal permit for the work to be performed.
However, maintenance and minor repairs, as defined in the OBC, or other applicable Code(s), that are valued at four hundred dollars ($400.00) or less, including labor, material and equipment, may be made without filing an application or obtaining a permit.
All minor repairs and maintenance, as defined in the OBC, valued at more than four hundred dollars ($400.00) require an application and permit except for those applicants in use group “F” (Factory) who obtain an annual blanket minor maintenance and repair permit, as defined in Section 1307.015
