In the event any of the real estate protected under the provisions of this chapter is either sold, conveyed or transferred, then in that event it is permissible to assign the contract for fire protection under this chapter to the purchaser of such real estate.
Renewal or assignments of contracts for fire protection service shall be made as in the case of original applications. Application for renewal shall be made not less than thirty days before the expiration of the existing contract.
