131.10 POLICE PROTECTION OUTSIDE CITY.
   The Chief of Police is hereby designated, in accordance with Ohio R.C. 737.041, to authorize the rendering of police services to other subdivisions of the State of Ohio and adjoining states without a contract subject to review and approval by the Director of Public Service and Safety.
   Ohio R.C. Chapter 2744 (political subdivision tort liability) insofar as it applies to the operation of police departments shall apply to the City and the members of its Police Department when such members are rendering police services pursuant to Ohio R.C. 737.041.
   Regular police officers of the City while acting outside the City limits shall be entitled to participate in any established pension fund to the same extent as while acting within the City. Such member shall be entitled to all of the rights of Ohio R.C. 4123.01-4123.96 to the same extent as while performing services within the City.
