129.17 REWARD ACCOUNT.
   (a)   There is hereby created an account within the accounts of the Operations Department to be used for the purpose of paying rewards to persons who provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons who violate those City ordinances or laws of the State which prohibit vandalism and other like offenses within the City parks.
   (b)   The Director of Public Service and Safety is hereby authorized to make payments of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per person, per payment to persons who provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons who have violated those City ordinances or laws of the State which prohibit vandalism and other like offenses within the City parks. Any such reward payments shall be made after recommendation of the Chief of Police or the head of the Operations Department. Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this section, no more than one such reward payment of one hundred dollars ($100.00) may be paid per occurrence, regardless of the number of persons providing any information.
   (c)   The City Auditor and the City Treasurer are hereby authorized to disburse such funds upon receipt of proper vouchers, signed by the proper persons, for the stated purpose and for no other purpose.
   (d)   The above account is hereby created to promote resident involvement in promoting the integrity of the City parks, and all moneys credited to such account shall only be expended for the purpose intended.
