745.25 FAILURE TO PAY FARE.

Whoever, with intent to defraud the owner or driver of any taxicab, engages such taxicab for hire, shall be punished as provided in Section 745.99 . Refusal to pay the lawful charge for such taxicab, or absconding without payment or offer to pay, shall be evidence of such intent to defraud.
