It shall be the duty of the Chief of the Fire Department, through the Bureau of Fire Inspection and Prevention of the Fire Department, to inspect or cause to be inspected, at least once every four months, all junk yards, junk shops or yards upon which wrecked cars or any salvage or wreckage of any kind is stored, within the corporate limits of the City. Such inspection shall be for the purpose of determining whether or not such premises are operated in conformity with the provisions of this chapter and other ordinances of the City that are applicable, and that they are kept in a safe and sanitary condition.
