When a person enters a plea of guilty or nolo contendere, pays a fine, or is convicted of a violation of any ordinance of the city, the court clerk shall assess costs of prosecution to the defendant in a sum not to exceed thirty dollars ($30.00) plus the fees and mileage of witnesses. Such costs shall be in addition to any fine or other penalty which may be imposed. (Ord. 1075 §1, 2009)
