Jurors shall receive for their services the sum of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day plus mileage at the rate of twenty cents ($0.20) per mile for necessary mileage as determined by the most direct route from their residence. Claims for their expenses shall show the method of computation of the expenses and shall be verified as other claims against the city. Such claims may be paid out of the general funds of the city.
