A. The municipal judge shall by court rule provide for jury terms and the scheduling of cases for jury trial.
B. Whenever a calendar has been made up for the trial of cases by jury, the judge of the municipal court shall timely request, in writing, the chief judge of Oklahoma County to cause the names of a stated number of jurors, deemed sufficient to dispose of the cases on the calendar, to be drawn from the jury in accordance with the governing statutes of the state, and to be certified by the clerk of the district court to the judge of the municipal court.
C. If after statutory exceptions are allowed, the listed number is found to be insufficient, the judge of the municipal court shall make additional requests for qualified jurors in the same manner as herein provided.
D. Requests for exemption or release from jury duty shall be directed to the municipal judge and may only be granted by the judge. (Ord. 965 §1, 2002)
