A. If without sufficient excuse, a defendant fails to appear according to the terms or conditions of his bond, either for hearing, arraignment, trial or judgment, or upon any other occasion when his presence in court or before the judge may be lawfully required, the judge may direct that fact to be entered upon the court minutes, thereby declaring the bond to be forfeited. Court costs shall be collectible from the proceeds of the bond.
B. At the discretion of the judge, he may direct that such forfeiture be certified to the district court of Oklahoma County to be entered on the judgment docket as provided in title 11, section 27-118 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
C. Such failure to appear shall constitute grounds for the court to exercise its powers of contempt where no cash bond is available to satisfy any judgment of the court. (Ord. 526 §5, 1982)
