Persons who are cited for violation of one of the traffic regulatory ordinances of this municipality may elect to pay a fine in the minor violations bureau of the city in lieu of appearance before the municipal criminal court and such payment shall constitute a final determination of the cause against the defendant. The governing body of this municipality shall by resolution prescribe a schedule of fines to be paid as set out in this section. (Ord. 285 §19, 1969)
