13.04.080: SEWER TIE-ON OR TAP INTO SYSTEM; FEE:
There is hereby established and levied the following sewer tie-on or tap-in fees inside the City limits and outside the City limits of Warr Acres as follows:
A.   Inside The City Limits: No person or entity shall connect any house, business, building or other establishment to the sanitary sewer system within the City limits of the City without first paying to the City Treasurer the sewer tie-on or tap-in fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each single-family residence, business, or establishment; and for multiple-family residences, the fee shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) for the first unit, and twenty dollars ($20.00) for each additional unit, which fee shall be in addition to other charges which may be levied by other ordinances of the City.
B.   Outside The City Limits: No person or entity shall connect any house, business, building, or other establishment located outside the City limits of the City, to the sanitary sewer system of the City without first paying to the City Treasurer the sewer tie-on or tap-in fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each single- family residence, business, or other establishment; and for multiple-family residences, the fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first unit, and forty dollars ($40.00) for each additional unit, which fee shall be in addition to other charges which may be levied by other ordinances of the City.
C.   Employee Presence Required: In addition to the foregoing subsections, no person or entity shall connect any house, business, building or establishment to the sewer system of the City, unless a City employee is present to observe the tap-in or tie-in. Additionally, no person or entity shall connect any house, business, building or establishment to the sanitary sewer system of the City without also installing a backflow preventer device and/or an accessible cleanout/overflow line adjacent to or on the sanitary sewer riser within the utility easement.
