All new residential and commercial accounts will be required to have a deposit of a minimum of twenty five dollars ($25.00) for residential and fifty dollars ($50.00) for commercial, on deposit with the City. Where a account holder has been found delinquent by the City Council, the Utility Billing Clerk may require the customer to make an additional security deposit in an amount to be set by the Utility Billing Clerk for each and every account prior to sewer service being initiated or during the term of the utility service agreement to guarantee payment of all sewer charges and fees. The security deposit will be forfeited to the City upon the completion of termination proceedings resulting in a final finding of delinquency and termination of service. (Ord. 1171, 2016)
