12.05.010: RESIDENTIAL; REMOVAL AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS:
New or replacement approaches, curbs and gutters in all residential zoning districts, excluding R-3 (multiple dwelling residential) district, shall meet or exceed the following minimum standards from the edge of the street to the property line (right of way):
A.   The approach shall be six inches (6") in depth of Portland cement concrete, three thousand five hundred (3,500) psi, minimum three-fourths inch (3/4") aggregate concrete mix, over two inches (2") of aggregate, with a minimum slope of one-fourth inch (1/4") per foot from the property line to the street.
B.   All street or curb cuts shall be by mechanical saw. Where the standard curb and gutter are separate from the body of the pavement, they shall be removed and replaced with the new approach. All new or replacement approaches will require the old curb and possibly the old gutter to be removed.
C.   Old or broken curbing and all other material removed during the project, shall not be left on the parking area or surface of the street, but shall be hauled away and the premises left free of debris and clean.
D.   All approaches shall maintain or improve the existing drainage and match existing curbing.
E.   All approaches shall have a minimum radius of five feet (5'). An inside radius of three feet (3') shall be allowed, if required, for circle drives and small lots.
F.   The curb cut for a circle drive shall be a minimum of eighteen feet (18') wide; for a standard drive, a minimum of twenty two feet (22') wide.
G.   All approaches shall be a minimum of twelve feet (12') wide, except for approaches on circular drives, which shall be a minimum of ten feet (10') wide. (Ord. 861 §1, 1998)
