All new or replacement sidewalks over right of way shall meet or exceed the following minimum standards:
A. Portland cement concrete, three and one-half inches (31/2") in depth, three thousand five hundred (3,500) psi, minimum three-fourths inch (3/4") aggregate concrete mix, over undisturbed soil or one and one-half inches (11/2") of aggregate which has been inspected by the city prior to the pour or placement, and
1. Shall be a minimum of four feet (4') in width;
2. Should be sloped toward the street;
3. Shall be four feet (4') from the back of the curb;
4. Should have an expansion joint every one hundred feet (100') (use 1/2 inch premolded expansion material);
5. Should have contraction joints every twenty feet (20') (saw cuts shall be 1 inch deep and filled with hot poured sealer);
6. Saw cuts shall be made within twenty four (24) hours of placement; and
7. Sidewalks shall have a one-half inch (1/2") premolded joint meeting a driveway. (Ord. 861 §1, 1998)
