Any person, persons, firm, corporation or municipality having obtained a permit to cut into the pavement and having deposited with the city clerk a sum of money to guarantee repair as provided in section 12.02.070 of this chapter, shall upon completion of the work for which the paving cut was made, repair the cut in compliance with the provisions of this chapter. The paving cut repairs shall be completed within thirty (30) working days following completion of the work for which the paving cut was made. Upon completion of the paving cut repairs, and acceptance of the repair by the city, the city treasurer shall refund the sum of money deposited with the city clerk to guarantee repair. Should the repairs not be completed within the period of thirty (30) working days, then the amount deposited to guarantee completion of the work shall be forfeited and repair of the paving cut shall be completed from the street and alley fund using the amount so deposited to pay for the same.
