9.04.020: RIGHT OF WAY OF DEPARTMENT VEHICLES; DISORDERLY CONDUCT:
A.   All drivers, operators, engineers or conductors of automobiles, trucks, buses, street or railway cars, or other vehicles, when in the vicinity of any fire department vehicle or apparatus, when on its way to or on duty at a fire, shall not follow or attempt to follow such vehicle or apparatus and shall so manage and control such car, bus, truck or vehicle and the motive power which moves the same so as not to interfere, obstruct or delay the fire department vehicle or apparatus, or any part of it, in the discharge of its duty.
B.   Every person at or near a fire who conducts himself in a disorderly manner or who neglects or refuses to obey promptly any order of the chief or his assistants, or any police officer on duty at such fire, or who resists or obstructs, hinders or abuses any officer of the fire department or fireman in the proper discharge of his duty is guilty of an offense, and any police officer may forthwith arrest, without warrant, and take to the police station any person so offending.
