9.02.030: ELUDING OR ATTEMPTING TO ELUDE A POLICE OFFICER:
No operator of a motor vehicle who has received a visual or audible signal to stop by a police officer shall fail to comply or wilfully increase the speed or extinguish the lights of such vehicle or commit other acts to elude or attempt to elude the police officer. The signal to stop shall be given by emergency light and a siren on a vehicle marked as a police vehicle.
Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall upon conviction be fined two hundred dollars ($200.00) plus court costs. (Ord. 728 §1, 1992)
