It is unlawful for any person to set fire to any forest, grass, woods, wildlands or marshes, or to build campfires or bonfires, or to burn trash or other material that may cause a forest, grass, structure, or woods fire in the city of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, when there is a gubernatorial proclamation of extraordinary danger from fire in Oklahoma County, unless the setting of any backfire is necessary to afford protection from the fire, or to save life or property. The burden of proving the need for setting fires is on the person claiming same as a defense. A violation of this section shall be an offense punishable by a fine of not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00), plus court costs. (Ord. 1014 §1, 2006)
