Information unrelated to inspection obtained by search is confidential, with the exception that any inspector who gains entrance to premises under the authority of section 6.08.150 or 6.08.160 of this chapter shall not obtain or furnish evidence for, or testify to, an offense other than a violation of the standards, rules and regulations of the city pertaining to particular violations for which he is inspecting, except with respect to a felony or misdemeanor involving an act of violence which has been committed in his presence.
