A. An application for a license to operate a taxicab or taxicabs, livery car or livery cars shall be in writing, verified by the applicant or his duly authorized agent, and shall be filed with the city clerk. Such application can be made only by the owner of the vehicle for which the license is sought or by his duly authorized agent, or by the person using the vehicle in carrying on the livery car or taxicab business. Such application shall state the following facts:
1. The name of the applicant. If the applicant is a partnership, the names and addresses of all the partners; if a corporation, the names and addresses of the officers and directors thereof;
2. The address of the principal place of business of such applicant;
3. The resident address of such applicant;
4. The seating capacity of each livery car according to the manufacturer's rating; the type or types of motor cars to be used, and the number of doors thereof;
5. The name of the manufacturer, the state license number of each livery car and/or taxicab, the length of time such livery car and/or taxicab have been in use, and the automobile serial engine and body numbers;
6. A statement of the names, addresses and license identification card numbers of all drivers driving livery cars and/or taxicabs in the operation of such business;
7. The trade name under which the applicant does or proposes to do business;
8. Where the proposed stands and garages are to be located.
B. The state certificates of title shall be exhibited when making such application. (Prior code §19-3)
