As used in this chapter:
LIVERY CAR: All motor vehicles propelled and operated for transportation of passengers for hire or rates based on an hourly charge, whether directly or indirectly by donation, prescription, contract or otherwise (except taxicabs operated without drivers, motorbuses operating on established routes, sightseeing buses, funeral vehicles and ambulance vehicles).
PERSON: Includes both the singular and plural and also means and includes person, individual, firm, corporation, copartnership, association, club, society or any other organization.
TAXICAB: All motor vehicles propelled and operated for transportation of passengers for hire, subject for call from any garage, office, taxistand or otherwise, operating for hire, whether directly or indirectly by donation, prescription, contract or otherwise (except the rental of cars without drivers, and except motorbuses running and operating on established routes, livery cars, sightseeing buses, funeral vehicles and ambulance vehicles).
