Any tattooing and/or body piercing establishment must have a written plan for disposal of hazardous substances, including, but not limited to, enzymatic cleaners, solvents, tattoo inks, and items exposed to blood and other body fluids. In no case are these substances to be disposed of in such a way that they will be introduced to the municipal sewer system. Any tattooing and body piercing establishment whose facility includes a floor drain must ensure that such a drain is connected to an appropriate dilution tank, interceptor, holding tank, or similar apparatus and that such arrangement is approved by the building inspector.
